I was messing around with the boards in my Space Zap so I did a quick play test to make sure everything was A-OK after putting it back together and had my best game. Jumped ~50K on my high score.

I wish I had the History on this that I have on the Tank II!
One neat history thing is that all the cards in the board cage have the same serial number written on them. Not sure if that was something the factory did or if it was the Operator just labeling all the boards when they got it.
When I cleaned the dust out of the bottom of the cabinet and cleaned the boardcage I rearranged the cards so the CPU board with the two customs were on the open side of the cage and the game board has a space between itself and the patten board for air flow. Also added a heat sink to the lower custom on the CPU board that got a heat sink on the later Gorf sets. Its way overkill but I had it on hand and it was easy to ziptie through the holes on the board. I'll have to take photos of how I did it.

I had a chance to mess with one when I tested out McFly's board set in my cab. Its neat but I'm starting to really not like those score save kits. And the online thing is kinda hokey.
I'll be keeping mine original.
IMHO, original is best ... but ... HSS is useful - especially if the game did not originally have the feature. Or do like John's Arcade and put "post-its" on your games.

wow! 179k is super great score... almost kills your fingers/wrist/arm from all that play!
That was my best score at Grinkers years ago. I think I came in second or third with that score!

Haha...How many times has a variation of this exact quote been posted in the last 7 year? I've played so many games there that I've forgotten about, or never new existed, and now have one.
