New pickup! Non working Discs Of Tron! Bulletproofing tips?

Hey guys! Just today picked up a DOT after stumbling upon it about a week and a half ago. Got it for a fair price, owner said the monitor just didn't come on one day. Got it home, looked inside and everything seems to be in good shape, nothing obvious. Switching power supply installed at some point so that may even be dead, not sure, haven't even checked for voltages yet.

Once I get it running, what are some bulletproofing tips you guys could give me for this game?

There are many ways to approach the troubleshooting.

First I would determine if it's playing blind. Can you coin up and hear the game play?

Thanks Pete, was looking for a standard Tron and came across this by accident. Pretty stoked about it :)

I may have found the main culprit, just not sure what damage has been done. Found that there are a few heavily burnt pins on the power supply plug that connects to the left side of the board stack.. With this connector connected, the switching power supply will flash and then shut off.. If this plug is not plugged in, the power supply will stay on.

Maybe this is just an overload protection feature in the power supply from the burnt pins on the connector?

Any ideas?
