Traded a game for this.

Ok, totally new to the MK series.

See pics below.

I can tell it is a MK2 cab (in dire need of TOG artwork, ;) ).

It has a UMK3 marquee and pcb.
It has the button for Run.

Couple questions -

1. Is this a MK2 cab? Most artwork points to it.
2. Is this the same cab as a MK3?
2.5 Would it be correct installing MK3 art, or leave it as MK2 with the addition to a Run button?
3. Is MK1 and MK2 pcb's, if they have the extra sound boards plug n play?
4. Is MK4?
5. Who makes the UMK3 moves bezel? Where to buy?
6. Is TOG art for sale today?
7. How do you get to the P1 joystick? Having issues moving up.
8. How can you run all pcbs in this cab? Anyone have pics?
9. What joystick is the best one to put on these? Or, the correct ones?

Sure I'll think of something else soon.
Thanks in advance!

1. Is this a MK2 cab? Most artwork points to it. Yup
2. Is this the same cab as a MK3? Yup
2.5 Would it be correct installing MK3 art, or leave it as MK2 with the addition to a Run button? up to you but the run button looks slightly off (to low and to far right? may just be the pic)
3. Is MK1 and MK2 pcb's, if they have the extra sound boards plug n play? yes they have 2 pcb's (1 being the sound board) they are plug and play except the kick harness on mk1 that is slightly different
4. Is MK4? 100%
5. Who makes the UMK3 moves bezel? Where to buy? zeno has move cards (and i think some others have made slightly different ones), there's no bezel really just an instruction card
6. Is TOG art for sale today? donno you'd have to contact rich he hasn't posted much about the mk2 art, the mk3 stuff looks just about ready to go.
7. How do you get to the P1 joystick? Having issues moving up. it's under the cp on the left side when facing the monitor. get in the test menu>diagnostics>switch test
8. How can you run all pcbs in this cab? Anyone have pics? 6in1 switcher from yaton sold by a few places online (arcadeshop, yaton, ebay) do a search there's lots of pics.
9. What joystick is the best one to put on these? Or, the correct ones? Happ Competitions which originally were IL Eurosticks (Eurosticks are more expensive but come with a color matching dust washer)

bring on the questions.

Looks like at some point the op or whomever had MK3 installed after the fact which is why you have the MK3 panel. It is indeed a dedicated MK2 and those are my favorite of the whole series. I ended up restoring a MK2 back a few years ago, you'll have to do a search on that thread and used a CP for a MK1 machine. I had to re-drill two of the lag bolt holes on it but it worked well. Nice machine the reds in the sideart all suffer from the UV fading, unless it was in a dark place or painted over.

About your question about the p1 joystick. Are you trying to take it out? If you are there are two clips that hold the cp down. I take off the back door and just reack in for them Not sure if you can get to them from the coin door never tried. I just installed the IL sticks in my MK2 and they seem to be very nice.

Here are the bezel moves I made. The file includes all the cards for all the MKs.

I gotta commend Broodwich on being so helpful around these forums. You make getting into this hobby a little easier on everyone.

Thanks, tho i'm pretty sure i spend a lil to much time on here.

Honestly I learned a lot from a few of these guys on here and some who are no longer here. You'd be amazed at what you can find on this site and what some of the users here may know. Funny i found a picture of my first cabinet from 2004 earlier last week (man it's been almost 10 years). I pretty much self taught myself everything until finally finding this place in 2011.

I definitely don't know everything, and every day i learn something new here.
