New Pickup!! I need to quit buying!! And finish some projects!!

Man too many projects! I couldn't pass this Mario Bros Widebody up though! This is the first one I have seen in years in my area! Its all there except for the Mario bros board, Bezel, and marquee. I think Rich@TOG is jumping on the widebody marquees so all I need to find is a nice widebody bezel and a Mario Bros Control panel. The one that's in there has been hacked too many times. If anyone has either a bezel and a control panel PM me thanks! I am not going to do start on this restore until I finish putting back together my Red Tent. Then Ill start restoring the Mario! Just thought id share with you guys a few pics of recent pickup!

BTW its #01415

I wonder how many widebody's were made?

Oh it will be restored! Just like my Playchoice and the Red Tent. Quality will not be spared! It will look brand new by the time I am finished. :)

glad you got this! i was angling for one of the Demo Derbies but i ended up passing since my [game hauling] van has started to have a lot of issues and is in need of significant repair or replacement.

i'm kinda sad that i sold my Mario Bros, even if it was a Popeye conversion. someday i'll replace it with a proper widebody.

oh yes, and i saw the finished PC-10 and it's quite pretty. i have faith justice will be done to this cab.

Right on! Thanks Todd. Finishing up my Red Tent restore right now then I'll get on the Mario. That's a bummer about your van. If you ever need help getting a game my truck is always available to you!

Acquiring the games some times is half the battle. I have almost 40 machines right now. Most of them are for parts, but i have a few diamonds in the rough. A widebody is on my wishlist. But unless you are friends with a bunch of operators, Michigan is a wasteland. I have 1 operator friend and he doesn't have any Nintendo stuff anymore.

The key is to discipline urself. This hobby can be a runaway train easily if u let it.
Just take it slow and enjoy the ride. I understand there are a lot of variables at play but u be surprised on how a little patience can pay off.

That statement is no joke, I kept collecting and collecting games until I just ran out of room. Then I took a break and realized that I'm done for a while unless its just way to good of a deal to pass up on. After a long break I realized I need to start fixing what I got and sell off the extra surplus. But to do that I realized that I need a place to repair all this stuff and so the long journey of getting my repair shop done has been on going since last summer and I'm almost there after a year of work just a few odds and ends and a tile floor to go.

Isn't that the truth. I had about 15 machines. Then ran into a deal for 22 machines for next to nothing. Most of them will be used for parts. But my garage is packed now with what i had before plus all the additions. I plan on getting rid of a bunch of stuff this year.

Thanks Dave...I am at my max right now. I like to be able to enjoy my space and not have it packed to the point I cant move around. Ill definitely let you know if I am going to get rid of something!
