Over two years ago, I sold my mini Tron, and had regretted it almost daily since. The search had long been on for a new Midway cabaret, and I jumped at the chance to pick up this Gorf from a fellow KLOVer. He lived a seven-hour round trip away, but thankfully he was very close to a huge mall, which broke up the day quite a bit.

After purchase price and gas, I got this replacement Midway cabaret for about $17 more than I sold mine for. (I didn't count food expenses, as my wife and I would just have had dinner out anyway. Yes, she went with me!)

There is no sound at present, but at least it's playable. It's in better shape than the Tron was. I'm really glad to have a Midway cabaret again, and honestly I think Gorf is better than Tron anyway. :p

Looks pretty nice. I like the mini Gorf better than the upright, and yeah, no contest that it's a better game than Tron.

Mine also had no sound when I got it. It ended up being bad caps on the audio board (the one with the volume pots).

congrats.. thats one of the cooler looking cabarets.

Ive had that one on my short list to get for a while.

People rag on Gorf but there is a reason that game was in every single arcade. Can be a bitch to keep working but I love the game.

Nice to se it made it home safely. I hope it doesn't end up as one of my arcade "regrets" !
Have fun with it

Gorf is good. The best part is the speech. I used to have an upright. I also used to have a Tron. I miss the Tron but not really the Gorf.
