Got my first pinball.

I don't have the space that others might have, so I always wanted one of the smaller pinball machines.

Managed to find one semi-locally, Caribbean Cruise

Couple of questions though,
1) It looks to be missing a piece of black edging that hides the leaf switches. Any idea on if I can find one of those? Or what to remake one out of? Anyone have any pictures of the part by itself?

2) What kind of coin bucket goes in this game?

3) When looking at the PCBs, it looks like one might have a coin battery that leaked. (The battery is still there.) Hard to reach at the moment, but is the battery soldered in? What should I used to clean it up?

4) The key to the play field doesn't seem to work. It did when I first took the glass off (turning the key "felt springy" or spring loaded) and now it doesn't want to turn. Like I put the glass back on wrong and the arm is bumming into something. What did I do wrong? Also, the key fits in both ways (up and down).

And lastly, I got the game with the coin door locked and the owner (who said they had it since the early 90s) didn't have the key. I ordered a lock picking set. After picking the lock, I was rewarded with the key clipped to the inside of the coin door. :) And some tags saying the game was made in May of 1993.

Pictures attached for its 24th birthday this month.

That is a nice find!! I had no idea cocktail pins were a thing. That artwork could go alongside Hollywood Heat :)

If you don't get any answers here, looks like folks on pinside have seen some.

Good luck!

You need to get any acid damage fixed asap. If it has a soldered in battery, you need to replace it and preferably remote mount it. I assume it's A rechargeable, but make sure.

The bad thing about the cocktail pins is low production and limited replacement parts.

There is no good pics on ipdb of that button, but the flipper buttons are exposed, so I would assume so is the start.

Pinside is probably a better place to ask about it.

No damage, just looks like a water stain. No crusties or anything.

This one was made by Gottlieb and is Gottlieb System 3, so it isn't like the smaller MFGs where it will be much harder. I actually found a shockingly large amount of parts for this one on maro's website.

No CPU board (which has the battery). It works, but I was checking just in case.
