New Phone for the Arcade

They had a mass auction of everything from the Sahara a couple months back. Now I just need one of those camel lamps to complete it. The prices are up there now though.

Seriously who has a home phone these days?

I still have a good ole fashioned landline. I am one of the few people in my city that does not have a mobile or smartphone. But my buddy that helps me out with the hobby has a prepaid mobile phone that we use for trips when picking up some classics.

Why wouldn't you? Have a friend that recently survived in a flooded area. Power down for weeks and no place to charge a cell. Battery died after a day. The lucky ones were extremely thankful to still have their home phones working (cause you know you don't need power for the phone to work). If you have kids, it's great to have for 911 and emergencies. Asked his neighbor how his digital phone worked. Reply: F*** Y**!

The power goes out in Binghamton? Always on here in (sm)Albany! Not.

Cool casino phone. We stopped there years ago whilst in Vegas.

Yup, when the big one hits and the earthquake knocks everything out, I'll be glad I have a line of contact with the outside world.

You guys cannot be serious.

You dont really pay $40 a month, FOREVER, on the off chance that an earthquake will hit?

And charging the phones...you dont have car chargers for your mobile devices? And you realize a normal cell phone can go DAYS without a charge now right?

We still have a land line and its a complete waste of $$$. The telemarketing companies should pay for it since they are the only people that use it. I also work from home so I have a business like....VOIP just doesnt do it for me, from a quality standpoint. But man, if I didnt work from home it'd be gone in a second.

EDIT: Sorry, back on topic, cool phone, my parents have one from a hotel they got at auction...Would love a coin op phone for the gameroom...Seem pricey though
