New Nintendo console. better than ps3 & 360..?

From what I've heard the next Sony/MS generation won't be until 2014, they consider the Kinect and Move upgrades enough to saturate interest for new hardware

Not to mention that there won't be a compelling reason to do anything else for at least a year into the life cycle of whatever Nintendo comes up with. IMHO, longer, if the specs fall short of spectacular, or the price is too high, given the current state of the economy.

Yeah I mean right now the systems are what, $2-300 and the companies should all be making a profit on hardware at this point, plus fees from all the software getting cranked out. The alternative is putting out a new system at prob $5-600 that they'll break even on or take a loss, hoping they can pull in a whole new round of customer base in a shaky economy so that 3-4 years into the new cycle they can see some profit (if things go well).

Or they can just sit back for a few years and rake it in.

When Wii wasn't been showed, there were rumors about a controller-touch screen, so every game could have its own buttons. Today, with millions of DS an Wii Nintendo should have a base from where returning to make things for [hardcore]gamers; but they cant give up casual gamers. If they will be able to make a console that still attract casual gamers but can be a good thing for others (for example:X360 for me and Kinect for my little niece ;D ) maybe they'll handle the business again in the next generation.
I believe Nintendo style is good, and dont need "adult games" (though I dont dislike them) One thing seems to be sure: their online must be revised.
