Hey guys,
This cabinet was just rewired to JAMMA and hooked up to a new 60-in-1 Multicade board from jammaboards.com. A new 12 amp power supply was also installed. Because the power cord was ran directly to the power supply the game turns on and boots up separately from the monitor which is on a toggle switch in the back of the game. With the monitor off but the game plugged in, a loud hum comes on...very loud. When the Multicade board boots up the volume is very loud. I turned down the pot on the Multicade board but that barely helped...can probably be fixed on a volume menu in test mode (which isn't hooked up so I'll have to touch the two wires together.
When the monitor was switched on initially the picture was upside down so I flipped the dip switch to adjust the monitor right side up. However, vertical lines travel across the screen. The monitor probably needs a cap kit but I think these problems stem beyond replacing the caps.
The volume is very loud and actually cuts out halfway through the Ms. Pac boot and then remains playing without sound. The Multicade board is screwed into the side of the cabinet without plastic feet...could any of that be causing these problems?
The joystick doesnt work so there must be a wiring issue there although I thought I had checked the sequence of the wires on the harness and matched it up to the joystick just fine. The player button is intermittently responding...it's brand new.
I only have one speaker wire from the harness hooked up (I believe from the component side). Do I need the solder side hooked up too? I would think not since it's a mono speaker.
I posted a HD video on YouTube here:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
