If you wanted to buy a new monitor for a full-sized Centipede machine and another one for a full-sized Defender machine, what would you buy?
Thanks!

Awesome. . that's what I was looking at. That's good for both games?
not a lot of new monitors available, and those that are seem to be of questionable quality.
edited to add:
(didn't realize that AS still had Vision Pros for sale, though i've read really mixed things about those as well.)
it'd be cheaper (and in the long run better) to find an unburned 19" tube out of an old tv and do a tube swap, though finding the right tube and doing the alignment may not be the most fun.
i know the Centipede has a K4600 chassis in really nice shape, one of the cleanest i've seen and it's been recently capped. what's the Defender have in it?
The only problem I see with the new LCD monitors is that you pay as much for the monitor and mounting hardware as you probably did for the entire game to begin with. After you do all the restore work and what not.

the Centipede i did some adjusting on after a rejuve... i never got the whites to look fully white, though each gun registered good on the rejuvenator. could be it just needs some more tweaking or possibly another shot with the rejuvenator, but yeah, the burn is quite noticeable and a new tube would most likely look a lot better and probably adjust better.
if you want to bring the monitor to the meeting on Saturday i can bring my rejuvenator and give it another shot.
as for Defender, blurry or out of focus is usually one of three things: dirty monitor glass and/or bezel, focus not dialed in on the flyback, or a bad flyback. the first two are easy to take care of, and the last isn't too bad depending on the model.
oh, i know. i just hate selling something if i know i could possibly make a little bit nicer. i didn't have as much time with the monitor as i would have liked to the last few weeks (work is good i swear, even when it eats me life!) which was reflected somewhat in the price.
just let me know if you want me to bring the rejuvenator.
a GO7 is generally easy to repair and easy to care for. once done, it'll give you a long life and great service, much better than a $200+ shipping Vision Pro.
try cleaning it (and the bezel) and adjusting the focus on the flyback. if that doesn't take care of the issue, a deluxe rebuild kit from Bob Roberts may be in order. should be under $40 for every standard replacement part in kit form, or you can order just a cap kit and flyback for less.
