New monitor VS original monitor, what camp are you in ?

I feel the same way. My Joust has Joust burn, my Mappy has Mappy burn, etc. I'm okay with it. I was not okay when a Neo I picked up had Joust burn. Swapped that out for freshly rebuilt 7000. I would overall rather keep the monitor original when possible.

Have you had problems with any of those new monitors, or have they all worked 100%?

Well I bought them all in one shot about 5 or 6 years ago, and they all worked excellent. I just checked before and I have 2 left. My T&F and Pole Position monitors are pretty tired. I'll probably put the last two new ones in those cabs..... But I'll have to get my Pole Position working first

I repair all of mine, or let them run if they are working with good pics. I have only purchased 2 new monitors, and it was because they were a good deal, not that I was replacing any of my originals. I still haven't used any of the 3 new ones I bought.

I don't trust the new stuff either. It has to be cheaply made and I doubt they will last and will be a hassle to fix. Give me a G07 any day, not because I am a purist, i just think they are made better. I have yet to see decent electronics come out of China. So unless Japan is making any monitors, then no thanks.
