Hi,
This place looks great for tech knowledge, I will be a frequent visitor!
I realise that most people will buy a cap kit and replace all the caps on a chassis! But in some places cap kits aren't sold, or some models of monitor!
I would like a supply of caps so I can swap them out when needed on chassis. I have a few different monitors! I actually would like to learn which capacitor does actually make the difference and not swap them all out. So I can take notes and understand what is going on better!
Now I can't keep nipping out to get a capacitor every time I discover a new bad one! Can you narrow down the different types of them by using larger/higher rated ones. I have read a guide that says you can in general but not relating to monitors! For example buy a pack rated for a higher heat and use them in place of the smaller ones on the board! Instead of having the same capacitance and different heat/voltage ratings!
Or should I look to match them all exactly!? And have bloody loads of them!
