Hi everyone. Great forum!

I recently inherited some full size arcade games from my brother. He's moving and no longer has the space to keep these and his pinball machines. So I transported them (omg heavy) to my warehouse, but have decided to part ways and move them onto someone who can really appreciate them. I'd like to know the market value of these before posting them up for sale.

Marble Madness. The cabinet is in very nice condition, but there are some dings and scratches on the side panels. The game works flawlessly and presents well. The monitor is burned in, but the colors are bright and the pixels are nicely defined. There are some minor cigarette burn marks around both track ball trim rings (not terrible). The artwork on the front of the cabinet is pretty much mint. I don't know how much is original or reproduction.

Tempest. It's in pretty nice overall condition and plays well. The cabinet has some dings and scratches. There is some separation of the laminate artwork where the decal folds over the contours of the front cabinet. I didn't see any significant burn in on the monitor. Occasionally when your playing, it blacks out. A little jiggle to the machine and it's up and running all system go. I suspect there is a short or loose connection of some nature.

I attached a few photos.

Any help is appreciated.

I would say that Marble Madness is worth about $450-$500 and the Tempest in the $550-$600 range.

It all depends on how quick you want/need to get rid of them.

tbbk knows his stuff.

awesome tempests seem to rot here in california waiting for someone to pay $450+ for them. Yours is nice. I personally have owned 2 and don't like the game.

Where are you located in california? I bet there are a couple of local guys (sacramento) who would be into that MM.

My last non working tempest cost me 250 plus the cost of tranport..

There another non working one for around 300 up north
There a Marbles madness going for 300 up north somehow place..

Depening on your local market and if the games work well.
A broken tube in a tempest will make a 500 machine worth 200 or less.

Condition is important. Cabs with water damage are worth less than ones that are structure sound.

Location is important. Transportation cost will make a good deal into an expensive game.

I don't need to get rid of them per say. They're gonna collect dust with me, so I just want to pass them along to an enthusiast...and the cash would be nice.

I like the tempest and would always fire up the game when it was in my bro's man cave. I can play it for hours. It's sad that it's not so desirable.

I'm in N. San Jose and have the games posted on CL. I received a lot of interest in the MM.

Is my Tempest considered "non-working"?
The MM has received a lot of attention only after one day on CL.

Neither of the cabs have any water damage. Just some dings and scratches.
I figure here in Silicon Valley, they're has to be some interest.

Thanks guys!

yes, Marble Madness definitely commands a higher price and will get more interest than Tempest. Don't sell the MM for less than $600. If there is side-art on the left side too I wouldn't take less than $700 for it...
