Hello all.
I've been visiting this site off and on for years but just became a member.
I am an author writing a book on the history of arcade video games up to 1984 (the bronze and silver ages) - that is, I may be.
I actually started the book (All in Color For a Quarter - some of you may recognize the gitle from the Mame history file, but that's a long shot) about 15 years ago and dropped it about 10 years ago for a number of reasons (I probably talked to some of you back then).
I'm considering picking it back up but would like to try and see how much interest there is.
If there is interest, I may try to publish it or (more likely) publish it myself as an e-book or maybe even post it for free.
I unearthed a lot of good info (though not nearly enough, of course) and interviewed almost 100 designers, executives etc.
I started a blog to dicuss some of the stuff I found out, gauge interest, and discuss arcade history in general at http://allincolorforaquarter.blogspot.com/ if anyone is interested.
