New member here... Not sure where to introduce myself!
Hi there, one and all! I've been "lurking" for about four months, now, but this is my first time posting on the forums. 41-year-old male who remembers all the great old games from my youth spent in the local arcades ("Outer Limits" and "The Coin Collector") here in St. Cloud, MN. As a pre-teen enamored with arcade games in the early 80's, I always dreamed of owning an actual arcade machine. Well, last November, I accidentally stumbled upon a great condition WORKING "Frogger" original upright in a local pawnshop for $400! Seeing as it was one of my favorite games "back in the day", I snapped it up.
Then last week, while trolling eBay, I found a local seller unloading a "Ms. PacMan/Galaga Class of 1981" cocktail table, like-new condition, barely used, for $900... Now, again "back in the day", Ms. Pac and Galaga were in my top-5 of fav games... In fact, I distinctly recall playing a cocktail Galaga at the local Pizza Hut many times after stuffing my face, LOL! Needless to say, knowing what the condition of this particular machine was and what they go for new from distributors and used from other sellers on eBay, I jumped at the chance and grabbed the cabinet!
Lovin' the "arcade life"... I now have 4 of my favorite 80's games (Ms. PacMan/PacMan/Galaga/Frogger) in two cabinets... Never in my wildest pre-teen dreams would I have imagined having these 2 machines in my home, LOL!
