New Member :) and needing help on a Super Shot Basketball Game

Hi everyone!
My name is Drew, and I have recently joined this forum. I am in college right now and have been in the arcade/pinball hobby for 4 years. I recently picked up a Super Shot basketball game, and one of the boards is bad. ( I think it is the main board, as it is the board to the left of the power supply). I am wondering if anyone out their has a replacement board, or an extra, or possibly able to fix it? Let me know if you know anything about these games, or if you have a manual, or know where I can get a manual. Thanks!

Welcome!
Sorry to hear that you bought a Super Shot, lol. Your back will hate you soon enough, its a monster of a cabinet. You ought to be able to download a manual online, or you could send me your board to test, as I have three of them. What is the machine doing to cause you to think the board is bad?

are you 100% certain that it's bad? lol

as Guido has hinted at... Skee Ball WILL anally rape you

this game has test points on the main board for checking voltage. I'll have to dig into my manuals and stuff, as I don't work on these anymore.

If you have a better copy of the manual than what Skee Ball has, can you scan/copy it for me? It is like a 10th generation copy online.

They are surprisingly less cumbersome than the ICE NBA Hoops or Hoop Fever. Some of the prices I remember from the last time I repaired one:

Plastic "super nut": over $100... For a plastic nut

Motor: $900

MPU: $800? It was slightly less than the motor

Luckily I only had to spring for the super nut.

Mike
