I have been working with another Klover on a possible Reproduction Lunar Lander Mission Light PCB. This board is one of the hardest parts to find for a Lunar Lander. The Control Panels are going to be reproduced, I will be sending my extra panel to Takeman soon so he can work on his panel project. Phoniex Arcade has already reproduced the Mission light Plexi and CPO, and Sideart is also going to be done by Phoniex Arcade.

We have discussed different options on the board. We talked about smaller boards in width to cut costs, but what has been decided is we want the board to be as close to original as possible. The board will be a drop in replacement. It will be the same size and traces will be the same as original.

The run will prob only be 10-20 boards. Im starting this thread to get a idea of how many people would be interested, and what light options they would like to see before I start a pre order thread.

I dont have a set price yet, But I can estimate it to be $115 or less shipped in the USA if I get 10 presold, $95 if we get 20. These are only estimates will know more soon. If there is enough interest in LED lighting we might be able to get a deal on them.

I could use a back up I would prefer original lights over led but it's not that big a deal for me so either way. Thx for doing this, sounds like a lot work went into this.

So have you got the PCB sorted Dan? sorry for delays, family issues and interstate travel happened

Looks like sockets will be like the original. So you can put either regular bulbs or LEDs in it.

Yes getting close. mailing off my original board tomorrow.:D

I pulled my Original Mission Light PCB today, It will be mailed out for reproduction today. Final Price has been set $85.00 + $2.85 Paypal fees Shipped to USA, or $85 shipped to USA, if paypal is sent as a gift. Either way is fine with me:) Prices for out of USA will be $75 plus actual Shipping.

Im going to have a run done of (20) boards, a smaller run would run cost up to much. Im going to have these run, even if they are not all presold. I will absorb the remaining costs myself, because these need to be produced. Presale price is only good during presale. If I have remaining boards left after presale ends, they will be for sale but not at presale prices.

The boards will includes the on-board voltage regulator and 5 standard 555 incandescent light bulbs.

I am running LED's in my original board in there original sockets. I have a new plastic Mission Plexi. I like the fact that they run cool, and provide alot of light. We might be able to get a deal on LED's if there is interest in them.

Looks like 8 boards are spoken for, leaving 12 for sale. Look for a Presale thread soon:D

Here is a pic of my original board running with Bright LEDS.

We are going to Presale. Look for a post in For Sale Section shortly.

Based on a lot of good feedback from the community, it was decided to stick to the original Atari design as closely as possible, so voltage regulator and brightness pot have been omitted. The final product will maintain the original Atari layout, voltages and ship with the the original bayonet lights specified by Atari in the Lunar Lander owners manual.

- Replacement board is the same dimensions as the original Atari PCB (except the new one should be square rather than slightly irregular in shape)
- Mounting holes are slightly enlarged to work with documented variations in Atari cabinets (0.026" larger diameter)
- Header connector is the same position, size, style and meets or exceeds the original manufactures specifications
- All lights are in the original locations and ship with the Atari specified 13V lamp
- Circuit board is made from slightly thicker and more durable material (tighter fiberglass weave)
- All board will be shipped assembled and tested with 5 lamps.
