New JAMMA cab, all boards were working, now one is scrambled (picture included)

I was swapping boards and went from an ESWAT board that has a System 16 to JAMMA adapter to a Golden Axe II. I left the adapter on, thinking it was Golden Axe (which would've also been System 16) and plugged the adapter into the board and powered the game up, paying no attention the the word "JAMMA" stamped on the Golden Axe II board. The board was working before I loaded the cabinet up and brought it home today; now the picture is scrambled. I tried adjusting it, but the best I can do is a steady, scrambled picture (not rolling).

So did my carelessness break the board?

Check for damage at the Sync pin on the board... and follow the trace backwards. Something is hosed there.

I tested this board in my Marvel vs Capcom 2 cabinet and it works fine there. It's still scrambled in the generic JAMMA cab I got with these boards. I also tried a 60-in-1 board in both cabinets and it also only works in the MvC 2 cab. In the generic cab, it comes up to a mostly black screen with small areas of blue garbage. Gotta be a sync problem, but why do my other JAMMA boards work fine in it? The other games that do work in the generic cabinet are Batman, E Swat, and Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.

Video ground

Try shorting pin 14 on the jamma harness to ground on the jamma harness and see if that helps.
It is possible that ground to the monitor in your jamma cabinet is fed through the board and you may have fried that trace.
By shorting video ground (pin 14) to power supply ground you are bypassing the board.
