it has been a long time without an update but we will finish this
this is the only known emulation (that i know of) that has a working ICY (correct pixels)
a year ago i made some i robot pcbs and the time has flown by.
soon we plan to address a glitch that happens while flying through space between levels (black hole)
the glitch can take up to 25 minutes to show up but Ralf is working on a diagnostic.
when fixed the next run will be the same as the first except for grounding one extra pin on the edge connector and changing the type of usb port .
when ready if anyone who already owns the board would like to do some testing let me know 1759501710060.png

Facebook post way back in May last year.
More random info. The board has 2 boot modes jamma and original cabinet. At boot it detects if a hall effect joystick is connected. If so it will go into original harness mode. If not it goes into jamma mode. If you decide to use a jamma harness you will have a digital joystick input. But if wanted a hall effect joystick can be used in jamma mode but you have to connect it the the original edge connector.

Yep, mid 2024 price was -> "$190 + $10 shipping in the US or $26 shipping international". :)
No Tariffs back then either. LOL

UPDATE:
looks like the crash is gone!!!
the only thing that changed was this new build was done with the latest esp tools.
i have played for 2 hours now with no crash i love irobot but 2 hours straight is a bit much lol
as of a few minutes ago a hidden menu was removed. ralf is working on a better way to implement it so it can properly pass self test.
the hidden menu is accessed by holding the coin switch and pressing start. this menu allows you to select wire frame mode and other options
