New in box Robotron Cabaret(s) from a few years ago

I know a few years ago a bunch of New in box robotron cabaret and uprights were found somewhere and sold off by a collector. I was amazed by this story and thought i would never see one until today. It was an amazing sight. does anyone know the full story on these or have a link about them?

Got to put my greasy hands all over the NOS sticks and put up a top 10 score on the machine. I'd never played on a cabaret before so this was a huge treat, the factory touch ups where there (it even smelled new!).

Just wondering if anyone else remembered the story on these and could share. I wanted to take a picture but was at the owners house on business (buddy was buying a pin), I was told the box was around somewhere for it as well.

I was this close to getting one when he had 2 left about 2 years ago. $1995 plus shipping, we had it all worked out, then someone bought one of them, and he said the last one is $2995, which took it out of my price range for that game.

damn that would have been nice

This thread makes me want to fire mine up.

(Wish me luck. This thing is tempermental.)

he didn't have a sttng the only thing he had fs was the LW3 (my buddy probably would have bought anything else for sale). I did however play his Medieval Madnesss and Circus Voltair

Thanks Mattosborn for the detail about flippers.com, what was the whole backstory tho.

He bought up the remaining inventory from the Time Tunnel arcade. It was some huge untouched warehouse of arcade gold. Tons of NIB games, robotron was just one of many. Google it

John called it the Time Travel warehouse. Searching KLOV will pull up lots of hits.

Yep, took me over 3 years maybe more to work a deal with John. He is in BC where I am from, known him for a looong time John bought like 5 floors of games from a warehouse he found years before. The ware house was a distributor for the Time Tunnel arcade franchise I believe so he dubbed it "the time travel warehouse" or something to that effect. One day when John is ready I believe more NIB stuff WILL surface, hoarding or smart?? But hey I could be wrong... John is very helpful, his website is awesome but a little hard to navigate. There are tons of helpful hints, but John is also very retail in his pricing but he gets it and has made a living at it since the 70's
