So I went back out to the Auction Company on the other side of Atlanta yesterday and I picked up my new lot of games!

They all have some wear on them. The Pacman cabinet is the worst of them all, and I think that it may have been an outdoor unit at one point due to all of the humidity damage to the wood. The Ms Pacman has some water damage on the bottom but the rest of it is in pretty good shape. The Frogger cocktail is missing the glass, and the wood veneer and the black veneer both need to be replaced, but it is all intact and working. Overall, not a bad little haul.

where is this auction place? --- Im not really interested in the items themselves, I just didnt realize we had such a thing in Atlanta.

The guy that runs it said that they would be another auction the first of next month. He said that he had another semi trailer of them at their new site.

I am hopeful to get these up an running before then so I can have some room to get some more. Although, it is an all day drive out there and back, especially with the traffic delays in Atlanta.

As for the bottoms, all of the cabs definitely need a new bottom wood piece. I was surprised at that since the lat two that I got from them are very solid cabinets.

if the price is right, ANY haul is a good haul. very nice! looks like you gotta lotta work to do now :)

Since it is a publicly view-able auction, I can say that I got it all for $314.26. Not a bad deal, but they all need a ton of work.

I actually thought the Popeye cocktail was a Centuri Rip-Off converted, but turns out it was a "Round-UP" cocktail by Centuri converted to Popeye...

In that condition.. 25.00 each would be almost too much.

lol. That MS Pacman is in great shape other than the bottom kick plate and the bottom board. Once I swap those out, it will make a great little machine and a wonderful addition to my collection.

The Frogger will be amazing once I strip off the old laminate veneer and replace it with new ones. The three things I am still trying to find for it are CPO artwork, Glass replacement(Pretty sure I can get the local glass company to make me one), and the instruction artwork that goes between the veneer and the glass.

The Pacman was pretty cheap, and I was going to get the other two, and I thought that I might be restorable, but it might just end up in my buddy's gameroom with a 60-in-1 in it.

Cool. I was really tempted to bid on that one too, but I decided that I wanted the Frogger more. Space is awfully limited these days.

From the pics, the glass bezel and CPO on the Ms. Pac look to be very decent. Some cleaning and that CPO will look new. The bottom of the cabinet looks like somebody's dog slobbered all over it and then chewed on it for 2 days. How is the side art? The Pac cabinet looks pretty toastified. Probly sand it down and repaint one solid color and then the 60-in-1? I guess that is what I would do. Maybe some kind of multicade artwork all around. I guess it depends on how nice you want to make it.

Yeah, the bezel is pristine as is the joystick. The cpo has a few spots where it is damaged but still is in good shape. The side art is pretty great actually. A little damaged around the bottom but other than that, I would say it has held up quite well.

The Pacman cabinet has seen better days. I am thinking that I might strip the black paint off and see how the original artwork looks. If it is decent I will put a Pacman board back into it. Otherwise, it will get the 60 in 1 treatment.

Sounds good. I am also curious about the original paint on the Pac-Man. It is just rattle can over it or did somebody do a roller job?

Spray paint seems to come off easily. I guess if you have enough patience, anything is possible. I am kind of a sucker for hard luck case Pac and Ms. Pac cabinets. After thinking about it, I would most likely take a shot at removing the crap cover up paint. Maybe the yellowest arcade character and that scary blue ghost are alive and well under there. Stranger things have happened.
