I'm in Salinas daily and grew up in the area. As mentioned, Superauctions stopped coming here about a year and a half ago. By the time the auction rolled to San Jose it was mostly junk anyway and as I recall they were always begging people to take a machine for a buck, or require you take the POS next to the one you were bidding on just to move the stuff off.
Jim in Sand City - very close to you - posts FS on craigslist every month or two. Other than the Boardwalk, there's not much around this area as far as a resource that I know of.
Except one small time operator out of Salinas who specializes in pool tables.
