I spent an hour or so moving a few games into the game room last night. Once in place, I turned them on and noticed a "green area" in the lower left corner of my Karate Champ monitor. Is this a classic example of a monitor that needs manual degaussing?? It's a WG K4900 and was just capped a few months ago. Here's the pic right after capping:

And here's a pic of it last night- sorry for the bad pic, but you can still see the problem:

Any ideas?

Yeah, that just needs to be degaussed. It'll probably go away on it's own after a couple of cold powerup cycles, but if it doesn't, then you can just manually degauss it.

to do it with the built in degauss coil, I reckon you run the machine for about 20 minutes, and then turn it off for 20 mins, then turn it back on. unless I'm missing something.

had it happen on my MK2 once, did it that way and it fixed itself. lol

Sorry for going OT, but your game room is a beauty and i couldn't ignore it!!

Wow- thanks! If you think mine is nice, you should check out the best light up gameroom pics thread- hundreds of gamerooms nicer than mine! Mine is a serious work in progress with limited space until I expand in a few years. So some games still have to stay in the garage. :(
