New Gottlieb Replacement PS

These will be in stock by the middle of this week according to AS.

I had to put this one back in my Reactor because something else went south in the original PS (again!). Took 5 mins to swap and my friend (who had never played Reactor before) was playing again. Great product to have around just for that reason alone IMO.

How does the knocker and sound board work on only 12v?

They look awesome... tho I'm surprised the LM sound amp can operate from +12, I thought it was more like +24... Still, I look forward to getting some of these as both my Reactor and qbert are psu dead-again

Nah, they run perfectly fine on 12v. In fact, they ran those amps at the peak of their limits which is why they run so damn hot and burn up. Most stock power supplys put out anywhere from 31-33v and I think that amp is only rated to 30v :)
This is a much needed product and should sell very well.

Ordered mine this morning...been wanting one of these for quite awhile. It'll go right in my Mad Planets...just in time for CA Extreme! :)

Venture works just fine...I was playing it just the other night. It will of course be at CAX. I don't own an actual Mouse Trap, but I have a working boardset and a control panel that I can pop into my Venture cabinet to play MT when I get the urge. A friend built me an adaptor that takes care of the extra buttons for MT (vs. Venture).

MT and Pepper II will be at the show, too, from another source (and of course the prototype Teeter Torture). Now if we could just find a Hard Hat ;) ...

I spoke to Steve at arcadeshop today when ordering and he said the effect of the 12V vs the original 30+V was the knocker and sound were softer. He said that he felt the softer knocker was an improvement as it was more proportionate to the size of Qbert falling off the maze. Steve said once you turned up the sound it was plenty loud. My Qbert has never worked, curse that POS! so I don't know the difference. What's your opinion regarding Qbert having a softer knocker?

Fine. I'll do it.

My opinion? I LOVE soft knockers!

For what it's worth, i played around with a q-bert knocker outside the cab at both 28v and 12v and didn't notice to much difference in the sound it made.

Well, just received and installed today. Great service by AS!

Works great in the Qbert cabinet, knocker is a little softer, a lot more tolerable in my opinion. I have audio issues to start with, so I'm not sure on that yet.
