OK... another CL post: Elevator Action cocktail ... "working" but no pictures
So I email the guy and I am hoping it's the Taito cocktail shown in the flyer.
We set a time and I head out to his place.
Get there and what greets me is an Atari cocktail cabinet running EA
OK... a little disappointed but the cabinet is in awesome shape AND it has an interesting set of legs. At first I thought they were homemade but now I am not so sure. They actually look stock.

He has no keys so I take it as is. After I get home, I check it out more closely. Seems it's from Ireland and it was born an Asteroids Deluxe.
Before I power it up again, I drill the locks and check it out inside.
Hey... look at that crazy EA PCB set... it's BLUE!
Bootleg EA.

Anyway, interesting combination of things. I am going to return it to its childhood and make it an AD again.

Any comments on the legs or the PCB or whatever are welcome.

That's a pretty wild cabinet! Cool-looking.

And don't be too disappointed. EA is one of the greatest games ever conceived by mankind.

Tallest cocktail I've ever seen! :) Bootlegs are fun b/c you can mess with 'em w/out too much care or worry of destroying anything original. Have fun!

Atari did believe in having legs that could be extended so that the cocktail could be played standing up. They did this for Warlords, although the concept was carried out differently.

Maybe this was another shot at it?

I wasn't disappointed that it was EA... I LOVE EA... I was disappointed it wasn't this cabinet...

As for the legs... they look exactly like the stock legs on my other Atari cocktails... only longer. I gotta believe they were an option from Atari.

As for the monitor... I saw, on Bob's "What Chassis is this..." page, that it was a 14" Sanyo. I am thinking a cap kit is order. I realize it's not the one used in Nintendos but does it have a name?

Looks like the cocktail will come to life and a robot and stomp around your arcade.
