Hmm...I was looking to buy Galaxian side art too. I was looking at the sideart from gameongrafix. Is there any reason not to but from gameongrafix - poor quality?

Well for one, thisoldgame's kit is $5 more and includes the kickplate art. Rich at thisoldgame.com is one of us too. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his artwork. He also is one of the few screen printers around the does arcade artwork. We need to keep him up and running.

I will be buying this, maybe today if my wife will let me (damn that made me sound like a real fucking pussy). Thanks for the heads up.

I wonder why this is inkjetted and not silk-screened like Rich normally does ?

Maybe Rich expects not to sell enough for a silk-screen run ?

Or is that a typo ?

Some of the lower run stuff that Rich has done lately have been inkjet. They still look absolutely amazing. DOT, Tapper, and Timber come to mind.....

Yup...his inkjets are great:

But I'd thought there would be enough demand for Galaxian side-art to justify silk-screening...

Yeah I did this solvent inkjet for 2 reasons.
1 lack of interst and 3ft x 6ft screens are expensive and take up ALOT of room.
2 there is no textured white vinyl match.
I wanted to spruce mine up for the Portland Game Expo last month
heres a Before and After Shot

Thanks
I color matched it directly to my orginal
taking into account fading and yellowing from age
and even being inkjet got the colors pretty gosh darn close considering.

What's the cost on the full art package? And is the vinyl flat white and thin, or textured or thick and flat?

Rich, did you do the halftones like we were talking a few months ago? If so, that is another reason to get it from Rich over GameOnGraphicsButUsedToBeMameMarquees.com on this art package?

Nice work as usual Rich. I may need to break down and get this to make my Galaxian look cherry.

Ditto on that question, I was curious if its gonna have the same texture as the original. Mine needs replaced baadddddd

I think Rich has stated in the past that the only textured vinyl he could find did not have adhesive and wasn't cheap. Sounds like this is on smooth vinyl.

That is nice work Rich...for once I won't be buying cause I scored a nice original galaxian with minty sideart several years ago...so I get to save a few bucks for once..but I know you will get me on something else anyway..:D
