New Forum Version in Beta...

We are getting ready to upgrade these forums from Xenforo 2.2 series to the new 2.3 series. It's been a tad of work to get an upgrade to work with the customizations we have installed, but I think we basically have it going... Please give it a try at:

Most everything should look the same... unless something broke.

One subtle difference is that styles are handled differently moving forward. At the bottom left corner of each page, is the selector to select one of the styles/skins for viewing the site. On the test site, if you try either the default, Original Style (default = Orig Style), or Classic A, then you will see a little settings icon next to it. If you click it, you can swap between light and dark styles (without having to even reload the page). These extra dark style options should should help reduce the total number of styles we have to maintain here in the long term...

I get the same on a blue fade splash screen here on Oahu at the moment, but who knows where the hell the interwebs think I actually AM at the moment.

Have access to it now. Will have a play in a little bit and report if I notice anything out of the ordinary.

Style works as you mentioned. Are we supposed to be able to login ? No login prompt appears when I click on login.


Anything except the first screen either does noting (login button) or gives an error like:
"Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server."
For example New Users and Posting Access path is https://betaforums.arcade-museum.com/forums/new-users-and-posting-access.80/ which returns the error above.

Same here. Every single link is dead except for the home page link and the main site link in the menu. Search does not work, and neither does login.

Links on the main menu was an error on my part trying to fix the last problem. Search not working is a much larger issue though. Bottom line is that several of the third party addons we use are not yet compatible with XF 2.3.

I've shut down the test server for the time being... maybe I'll try again in a month.
