Just brought home a 1980s Midway Space Zap, after plugged in, comes up with a white screen. Looks like on the power supple board, something is leaking, so need to start with replacing these, anyone know if there is a replacment part for these? Please see picture.

Try turning the screen pot on the monitor flyback down. If the white goes away and a picture emerges, there's probably nothing seriously wrong with the machine, but I'd swap out those gunky caps. (Or are they batteries?)

Get the Bob kit and rebuild the p/s. It would cost just a bit less than installing a switcher, but I'd get the kit and replace the Molex headers on the p/s board and and burnt/discolored pins in the harness side. It's a given usually that the Midway p/s boards need re-capped at least.

typical midway pwer supply normally you can find a whole replacement on ebay for a couple bucks.

I'm sure there are others cheaper on ebay, but the one in the example is $18 + $14.58 shipping for an untested board ($32.58 total).

I have a whole power supply board, tested, working and recapped within the past month (the axial caps alone cost about $18). I'd sell it to you (or anyone) for $38 shipped. It's a few more bucks than the ebay one, but this is tested working.

It looks like your boardset is incomplete. Should be 2 smaller boards and 4 larger boards in the cage.

PS I would take up Joe on his offer for the power board! You will likely spend his asking price just on parts to fix up everything on yours.

As I learned from Edward L., there are only 5 boards in a Space Zap boardset. The two smaller boards (RAM, RAM), a CPU and Pattern which are common among all that genre of games, and then one board specific to Space Zap (where as the other games have 2 boards specific to them).
