First off, big thanks to Madocowain for donating what was left of a water damaged Edot, and Seawolf for picking it up and delivering it to my house. Also a big thanks to OU FLight for a copy of the factory EDOT plans too. This thing took a WEEK to build. Very complicated, and damn near every part had something you had to add to it with a tablesaw. The only thing not done is the strips on the floor, i have to go grab some 3/8ths ply to finish it.

Cabinet is going to be joined together with 1/8" steel plates, both on the inside. Angled panel at top will hide the plate, and bottom plate will be hid by floor target. i added 2 more leg levelers for stability, and also buscuit joints on the joined seams. The inside 2 levelers will need cut down to not interfere with floor target.

Very cool, I wish I had wood working skills. My dad is awesome, he's been in construction forever but I never ended up doing much of it myself. I'm looking forward to seeing this finished.

Sweet! So when can we place our order? Are those the original midway plans? Can you post them?

The backhalf you see is not from the water damaged one. That one belongs to seawolf. The backhalf of the water damaged one was in extremely poor shape, and had allready been disassembled, i need a good one to get accurate measurements. I had previously replaced the floor, bottom back panels, and 2" of the sides on the complete one you see in the background. This new one belongs to Seawolf, he has a water damaged original that is in extremely poor shape, and will be transferring parts to the new one, to my understanding. These are 800.00 they take 6 sheets of 3/4" and a mix of 3/8", 1/2" and 1" and i have about 35 hours in this from start to finish. I still have about 5 - 6 hours of sanding and bondo work to make this paint ready, so the end user doesn't have to do much for body work. those plans are like 3 feet X 2.5 feet! I also have found several discrepancies in the factory plans to the actual production cabs, so they were more or less for proofing.

the water damaged one?!?!?! Absolutely not lol. the entire cabinet except for a few internal peices are all swelled to over 1" thick. it would be like raising the titanic and trying to restore it. It's way beyond any kind of repair. The game sides (all 4) are 2 - 4" shorter than they are supposed to be, it's just not there. The game floor is in at least 3 pieces, with about 25% missing, and swelled to 2" thick. just look at the background of some of the pics, you'll see the carnage of the original cabinet.

Robotron in the background is already sold :D waiting on 2 new bridge rectifiers, thought it was a ram problem, it was a flakey +12 on the powerboard. Jpopson is working that for me, then once it's done, off to texas.

ThisOldGame.com has full sideart. That's my assembly room. The garage is full of sawdust lol there is a little on the floor back there from the biscuit joiner. Tomorrow is cleanup day and start assembling the next cabinet.

Totally awesome! I'm lucky enough to have a nice condition EDOT, but it's cool to see that if it ever got damaged I could transfer to this.

I have a set of Rich's full artwork that I will be applying to my EDOT (or let me say I will be assisting Pr0k with the installation) in a few weeks.. stay tuned on that.

I will say this, however- I have a full project SW Cockpit with full art and it's just about complete, minus the yoke, PCB, harness, and monitor, and I got more negative ^&@# about how it's not even worth $799 the way it sits, so I'll be curious to see how many of these you sell to those looking to make one.
