Ok, I wanted to learn how to use Google Sketchup, so I decided the best way to really learn the program is to do something realistic with it. The Williams Coin Box was a good start, but I needed something a bit more challenging.

So I decided to redo the Defender Dimensions on my web site. Here are the results so far:

I know of a couple issues, that I'll get to probably this weekend. I need a couple people that have Defenders to compare the dimensions of my Model with their actual defender.

You can download the Google Sketchup file here:

I measured many panels of my defender...documented in this thread:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=65938.0

The control panel is off by 1" but the rest are good.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for checking it out. I went back and remeasured both my Defender Control Panels to double check, and I still get 8" x 24.5". Now both of my Defenders are the Silver Metal Coin Door Version, so maybe they changed the design a bit with the Black Coin door version?

Ok, unless someone finds a major issue with this one, I'm considering it done. I fixed the last couple of issues that I knew about, so I'm putting a fork in it :)

If you do find a problem with it, let me know and I'll see about fixing it.

my silver coin door Defender also has a control panel 8" X 24.5", just in case you wanted a confirmation.

Yeah, I finally got a chance to read through his thread, and I realized he was referring to HIS measurement was off by 1", not mine :D
