I have been working on my custom pin behind the scenes for about a month. I have hinted about it on the board in the past, but the time is right to fully unveil the theme for the first time as well as show the proposed layout and some of my progress. The theme will be focusing on the US Army Air Force 8th AF from WW2. The left side of the playfield will be the outline of England, with the right side being occupied Europe. The main toy will be a B-17G which will serve as the ball lock for multiball. During multiball, three balls will be deposited into the pop bumpers and you will focus on attacking the bank of drop targets on the right.

I have setup a website: www.pathfinderpinball.com to document my progress.

The machine is still a long way from being completed, but things are beginning to move along nicely and my goal is to have a playable machine by the spring. Take a look at what has been done so far and feel free to offer up any suggestions.

That looks awesome. Kick-ass theme. Can't wait to see the progress on it. Really like the idea of locking balls into the B-17. Would only be better if they release through the bomb bay doors?! :p

That is the plan. Multiball will drop the locked balls through the bomb bay doors into the pop bumpers. I imagine the lock to be something like the sword lock/ramp on LOTR.

Woot! Bombs away!

*edit* Always nice to see another Shuttle owner too. I just finished replacing the last of my insert lights with LEDs last night. :)
