NOTE TO NOOBS: It's always better to post after you have your bird in hand but this is a done deal and is pretty much off the radar of CL guys coming in to scoop my deal. Don't follow my lead by jumping the gun and posting what you don't exactly have yet.

I have been working with this guy for a while cause he has a contact at an arcade and they are trying to reduce/dump cabs.

I'm picking up yet another Dynamo HS1 but it's awesome cause this one is going to be delivered at a pretty much rock bottom price.

It's cheap cause he needs a CPO from me and wants me to look at the monitor that is dead in a Z-back cab which he's also bringing. He knows very little about monitors and said that it work so w/ any luck it's just going to be a few wires or a fuse.

I usually don't post till after I have my bird in hand and take my own pics but I'm stoked cause this is taking minimal effort to get it here. I'll have to work on his other cab while he's here in trade up to get his HS1 but that's not much of an issue since I don't have to leave the house.

I needs a strip and repaint but many Dynamos really do suffer from that. I can't wait this guy gets here tonight.

Awesome. One of the best cabs ever made for JAMMA games. If I had a game room with all the room to spare. I'd love to make a Dynamo HS-X Capcom row with SF, SFIIHF, SSFIIT, SFIII3rd, Final Fight, Willow, SFA3, MVC2, Magic Sword, 1943, etc. That would be epic.

I remember getting my HS-1 from a cool dude. I forgot his name though. He looks a lot like Ernie dressed as Ryu. :D

Congrats! :) I will someday find the big blue Capcom cab with Champion Edition in it. It's practically blasphemy that I don't have a Street Fighter 2 of any kind in the collection.

Forget the big blues, they are nice in some ways but really are hard to fit. They CP comes out so far that it breaks up your rows. You'd need to stick it next to a super deep cab like a Konami or Sega Fighter.

I like HS1 and HS5 cabs for a nice 2P vs cab...

We do see a bunch of KOAMs in this area cause 3KOAM was just like 10 miles from where I am.

Can you find me an affordable SF cab in the Yay Area?

Hopefully he bolts that PCB to something when he moves it. :p

Nice score. Be cool to find out if it is a factory WW Dynamo.

re;big blues, they are def big. If you're really into Capcom/SF, though, they are pretty cool to have. *shrug*

Meh I had a factory WW and it went to Jess/Esseyo. I had another HS1 at the same time and meh they are all the same. Factory kit or kit... it's the same to me. I have a factory SF3 NG actually. It doesn't really do much for the cab.

This started as an Ikari Warriors hence the vert monitor. The apparently drilled the CP for the Capcom 6 but seem to have done a really nice job of it. I will know more tonight when I look at it all drilled to hell. (the underside)

JOW - Define Affordable. There really aren't many affordable ones.

Even this one needs work but I may turn it to something else. I already have 2 HS5s with the Capcom setup and another HS1 as SF2.

School me. What's the dif. between the two dynamo cab models?

The HS5 houses a 25" monitor, and is just a few inches wider than the HS1, which is made for a 19" monitor.

Aside from that, and a drawer inside, they are pretty much the same.

My HS1 and HS5 are even the same depth, height and match side by side, but the HS5 has a "box" built on to the back for the larger monitor neck.

I guess mine has two different monitor mounting brackets as well, but I've seen a few different styles on those.

HS2 and HS5 are more comparable.

HS1 is a more simple dedicated model that has no pull out shelf which the CP hangs on. This piece is where the board and electricals mount to (sometimes the PS)

Once I get all of the the cabs I have together I can figure out what to do and where each of the monitors should go into etc.

You never know what you'll do w/ a cab till you get it all side by side.

The 19" monitor cabs also have the monitors mounted into one square piece of wood that can rotate in the space and then be held down with 4 screws. This allows you to run Vert or Horizontal games pretty easy.

The HS5 25" cabs can do the same but the monitor is mounted to two pieces of wood (top and bottom) to create the same effect instead of just stuck in one square piece of wood. I'm not sure if the Z-back cabs have the same thing since I don't like them, I've never owned one.

You'll find that some empty cabs that you find may have lost their monitor mounting pieces of wood. This is a problem if you can't find a template to build new ones. I was able to figure it out myself on my HS5 cab that I got empty.

Like $300-$350?

Yeah that's the cheaper price for one that's working but needs TLC/Restoration. The key is finding a HS1 corner cut with a good 6 button layout.

It's basically what I has sold to Esseyo. That one was an awesome pickup also.
It was a faded old original WW but it had a some monitor issues but light SF2 burn. I traded an old digital camera for it as a CL deal in San Jose. It cleaned up nice but needs to be stripped and repainted.

We'll see what this one needs. I know the monitor is out but I have spare K7000 on the floor of my garage. It's got heavy burn but now has very strong clean colors after a Cap, Flyback, and Rejuv.

Actually this part of finding the project cabs and the chase is the most fun part for me. I love to get these guys up and running, combining them with the right parts to make them the correct cab for whatever game I put in them.

I found a working SFII for $200 recently, but the dude sold it out from under me after telling me he'd hold it for a day. : /

Next time if it's a great deal, send a depost.

Too bad, conversion? Or Dynamo?
I don't value conversions as much as Dynamo/3KOAM cabs.

Conversions are only worth maybe $200 cause it's hard to convert it back when it's all drilled out for the Capcom 6 layout.

New cab day was Saturday for me!
