I just launched a new book project about Atari, and I have created a website blog to document the progress.

In 2002, Atari Games closed it's Milpitas facility, and I was able to buy all of their historical assets at that time. Those assets include thousands of photos/sketches/drawings from the early 70's to the late 90's. The book is intended to be a visual tour of Atari and give you some insight into this iconic company. Most of the items I have, have never been seen outside of the walls of Atari.

I am shooting for a June, 2012 publication date.

If you have any interest in this, you can check out the website at http://www.insideatari.com

I want an autographed copy? :)

I've often thought it was cool that you scored all of the "stuff" at the end. Was it easy? Did you have to fight people for it? Or were you high enough up that it was yours all the way?

This is great news.

I've always been intrigued by the story of how you saved this history, and wondered about the extent of what you have. All of the art shared has been invaluable of course, but the behind the scenes, development type items (prototypes, concept art, insider videos) have been the most fascinating. I really appreciate that you're going to share more....can't wait.

SKATE OR DIE!!!

will the book be published to buy in bookstores or will it be a KLOV official launch here 1st. Either way I would love to buy one. Whats the price point going to be.

I'm down as well... It'd be nice for some sort of blurb about each game they produced as well as the general history of Atari as a corporation.

You can sign me up for an autographed copy if a hard copy is published! Either way, I'm interested in this, good luck.

What's the story behind you getting all those assets?

This is great news and very exciting, however I think you should reconsider publishing a hardcopy. People will buy it even if it's expensive. I would never buy an iBook. I realize this is the way of the future, but call me old fashioned. I want to feel the book in my hands...

I would agree. I would love to have a hard copy for myself and to give as a gift.

The site says it will be published on Apple iBooks.

That is unfortunate - correct me if I am wrong, but don't you need to have an iOS mobile device to use iBooks? I did a quick search, but didn't see any way that a windows user would be able to purchase and view this.

I think it would be a cool book, but if that's the only format I wouldn't be able to use it.
