Control panel needs a good cleaning. Overall in pretty good shape. Monitor is nice and crisp. Some of the joysticks have a problem with a few of the diagonals so I'll have to check that out.

This was always a favorite of mine back in the day. Hopefully this one doesn't lose some of it's magic that I remember. (that seems to happen to a lot of Gauntlet owners when they can beat the machine because of the endless continues)

That makes 19 games in the collection. How did that happen?

the side art's pretty immaculate on that. and may i say your satan's hollow looks good there too.

It looks better in the pics than in person. Dinged up here and there and some tape holding the spot that the guys kid ripped off 10 minutes before I got there :angryfire:. But overall, not bad. The black vinyl is peeling off in lots of spots, but I can fix that.

Gotta love the Hollow!

sweet! always loved gauntlet....play it quite a bit on my multicade.

would love to have a 4-player setup. very nice.

as far as "beating it because of the endless continues", maybe you could try and limit yourself to what you would have played with back in the day (whatever that may be: $.50, $2.00, $5.00, whatever). i know that's easier said than done, but it may help with the replay value. just a thought.

That game looks really nice !!! Just clean up that spot on the CP and its done .

Was that the one that was on craigslists? I almost went for it. But I am limited on space, and I want a Donkey Kong, or Defender, or Gorf first.

Looks like a good machine. Always had fun playing that game.

spyridon, congratulations on your catch - gauntlet is such a great game!

what's OUTSTANDING on your machine though is the fact that it carries the original gauntlet 1 sideart stickers which are much bigger than the ones you find on most of the gauntlet machines. compare the pic of your sideart with the other one i've attached ... see the difference?

unfortunately, there are no reproductions available for the original gauntlet sideart

a lot of people - ME INCLUDED - are looking for those sidearts and in order to get them we'd need a scan so that someone could make a vector file out of it ...

do you have the equipment and the time to help out the arcade community by doing a scan of your sideart?

you would make more than one person happy, of that you can be sure!

This may be your lucky day. I just happen to have a scanner and I'm willing to help out! I've never scanned any side art so I'll have to read up on the best way to do it.

INCREDIBLE!!! THX A LOT

have a look at this wonderful tutorial about scanning sideart - everything's explained in detail here ...

and don't worry about stitching the files together and color correction. if you can't do it, i'm sure someone will jump in!

i'll keep my fingers crossed for this to happen!
