We are in Ocean City for the weekend and I stopped at all the arcades on the boardwalk. I cant help but notice how every arcade I have visited in the past couple years are exactly the same. They have the same games and no classics other than the mandatory mspac/galaga. Even martys playland had no classics other than a few antique redemption games. Oh well, at least they all have big buck hunters. For some reason im always attracted to that game and play a game or two.
I can say they all have a pretty good selection of pins and they were all in good condition for the most part. I played a twilight zone pin in the hotel arcade that was totally thrashed and unplayable.
Arcades sure are not what they used to be...but then again, what is?

Here I thought this thread would show some really cool Donkey Kong cookies!

I don't even go in the new arcades any more. The hotel arcades seem to be the only places to find a decent game. I saw a Q*Bert in one last year!

AS they say, you can't go back, and that is oh so true with arcades of today. I guess that is what got me in to this sickness of collecting and restoring.
Even though I have my own arcade full of classics you would still long to go out to the local arcade and see some of the classics in the wild. It's like being the boy in the bubble........
