Started a blog for last year plus over at coinopspace on my new arcade bldg..thought some of you who don't frequent that site would appreciate some pictures..so here they are ....from the beginning when they started to pouring the footers and pouring the actual 6 inch concrete foundation this past summer and fall...to the actual construction of the bldg in fall of 2011..to how it stands now in winter of 2012...I will be finishing the remaining things this spring...to include a special waterproofing on exterior of bldg designed for steel bldgs, insulation installation, the running of the electrical which is roughed in...and then some finish stuff inside with half walls..and finish wall on partition wall to be able to hang memorabilia etc...already have some stuff in there but won't move all my games in till I'm done so I don't have to move too much around to work in there...

Haven't decided on either finishing the concrete floor or laying blacklight carpet..gone back and forth...more expensive with the carpet but better look IMO...but there are some cool options for coating concrete as has been documented on this site several times...so we'll see this summer when I get to that point...May come down to money to be honest with all I've dumped into this so far...

The footers now poured and the long process of filling in with dirt..must be done about an inch as a time..to make sure its packed and doesn't shift after concrete slab is poured...this took about three days of continuous truck loads of dirt and packing of the dirt to ensure a good foundation..

The bldg is 30ft by 60ft...I have an area in the back of the bldg that is closed off (you can see on pictures of inside) that will be my work area and storage...its about 10ft by 30ft.....

That is some of what I have so far....a lot more to come...if we had summers that last longer than three months this would be done...:D
But in the East you have to work quick as winter comes quick...

I thought about that..I will put in some security measures...the back in not accessible as the concrete wall is over 14 ft high and no doors or access accept in the front where the garage door is...I did on purpose..much easier to watch one side than have doors on several sides..I'm putting in motion light and my yard is fenced in too and not easily accessible..

Ohh..and i have a nice large dog that is Pit that likes to roam my yard too..that helps.

Looks pretty good...What are you doing for HVAC? I know I still owe ya pics of my Man-Cave...

Hey Troy yeah I've been waiting for that for a while but I know your busy doing all those great metal pieces so you get a pass...:D

My heating and air conditioning guy recommended we see how well the bldg holds heat/cool air when I get it fully insulated in spring before deciding on best option...so far its been very good even in winter with no insulation its pretty comfortable considering...so we'll see.

A couple people said that but I already had the bldg purchased so I was kind of stuck with one floor..if I had not purchased the bldg yet I would have looked into what it would have cost to have a basement or two floors however you want to look at it....it would have been more money but the thought crossed my mind...:D

That silver interior will look very cool if you have black lighting and a bunch of colored lights reflecting off of it!

Freakin' awesome! What is the total cost for something like that? I couldn't do 30x60 but I might be able to get away with 20x40 or so...

:)
