Picked up a bowling machine last week. This ones a keeper and a grail of mine for a long time. My six year search has come to an end. It's a 14' 1957 bally abc bowler and it will take some work to get going again. But I couldn't be happier with it.

That thing is cool!! The warehouse we visited here in Western Mass had a TON of those for real cheap. All complete and in very nice shape. One in particular was a Williams bowler with an Aztec theme. It was pretty much near perfect and oh so clean. Six players too! I would have loved to grab it if I had the room. Those things are huge! Awesome score. Wish I had the room for such an animal.

Excellent!
Ball bowlers are the nuts! If you don't already know about clays site, check it out... www.pinrepair.com He has a whole section on bowlers and even mad a DVD (TOP#8?) about it.

cheers
/Tim

Pretty sweet looking machine you picked up! Any idea on what you will have to fix to get the game up and running 100%?

The game was supposedly working within the past year so it *shouldn't* need too much. The game is not going through it's reset sequence when coined up so I'll start there.

Nice Mark, Have any trouble getting it down there??? I didnt get a call Thrusday, so guess not...lol

Nice looking machine, did you get the skeeball fixed for the guy??

A ball bowler is very high on my list of games I still want to grab. It is one of the few machines I wouldn't think twice about grabbing if it popped up locally.

donny: Got it down ok moved most of it myself only needed help with two sections. I did get the skee ball machine fixed it was just a broken fuse holder.

gorfchampion: It can be moved in 3 sections, however I had to break it down into 6 because of a 90 degree turn in the previous owners stairway.

Nice score, I love those old games. A friend and I are in negotiations to pick up and old Chigaco Coin bowling machine we used to play in North Olmsted about 14 years ago.

I said the same about my bowler just sold it to buy a big ball bowler
yours looks good best of luck getting her going its really not that hard

This one just sold on ebay, and is like 5 miles from my house:

A) I don't have the money
B) I don't have the room
C) I bet the problem is a bit more in depth

Still, it sold for an incredibly nice price!

He has a coin-op foosball table about to go off, but he told me he is out of town so I can't go look at it. Condition looks questionable in pics, so I'm not going to bid. I'll email him afterwards and offer $50 sight unseen. :) Noone is going to bid.

Sweet! Someday I want to get one of the puck bowlers - me and my dad used to play it all the time in the bar across the street from his business while I was growing up. He also loved to play Missile Command, while I always went for the Galaxian. (Which is of course, better than Galaga).

Update:
I'm Bowling. I ended up finding a complete parts machine a couple weeks after I got this one, unfortunately someone set it on fire and destroyed the lane. I was able to use the parts to get mine going. One score motor gearbox and some contact cleaning and I am good to go. I also ended up making a 4 foot lane extension out of the parts machine.

An extension?! That's an awesome idea. Please post pics for those of us born well after these were out there making money :)
