Added a REALLY nice Pac Man to the lineup tonight. It's a loaner, storing for a friend, but I had to get some photos. It's the nicest original Pac Man I have ever seen.

LOL, I was suprised how nice it was.

heh, that for me would never happen. I am not coordinated enought to pull that off well. But if it's an inspiration, then that's a good thing, right?

Very nice Pac, man.

Thanks. He may not get it back, LOL

Nice to see such a clean one with no lock bar holes!

Yeah, that suprised me as well.

From the coin counter: 11,623. That means if the machine is exactly 30 years old, there were 388 plays per year. That's a little ove 1 game per day. While that may be off a little if it was set for free play, that's REALLY low for a 30 year old machine. So if the coin counter is correct, this machine collected $2921.25 in it's earning life. Maybe that was enought to have them sell it off early, but from what I am told this was in a private home for the last 20-25 years.

Wherever it was, it certainly was not abused, which is pretty rare.

Next time you move it and you get the idea to wrap the strap right around the machine...don't! Put a blanket or something in there to protect the art and the t-molding first.

I'm sure your friend would appreciate it.

Actually, that's him in the photo. He loaded and strapped the machine :)

But I can appreciate your point. Noted!

Chris

I am the friend. That's me in the picture behind the game undoing the strap. 99.9% of the time, I use a blanket, cardboard, etc... on the straps. In this case, we were moving a very short distance and (honestly) I was lazy. I purposely didn't torque the strap as tight as I normally would.

Game was unharmed, but I appreciate the concern and apologize for any alarm caused. :D

Nobody would have known except SOMEONE had to go and take pictures. :p
