So I picked this up over the weekend for $80. I missed out on it at the auction but I got a second chance at it because of a fellow KLOV'er. He sold it to me for the same price he purchased it, how cool is that?
Anyway as you probably guessed from the title, it isn't currently working. But the good thing is it's in decent cosmetic shape, and appears to be all original. The inside looks completely un-hacked and complete. In fact most of the boards look nearly brand new. It also came with both schematics, a G05 manual, and the Asteroids manual, all in wonderful shape.
Anyway it's in a temporary room until I get the thing working and fix some of the dings. I have no plans to replace the artwork, put will do a little bondo work on some corners and the kick panel.
I emailed Bob Roberts today requesting an order for a monitor cap kit, a board cap kit, a big blue, and an AR rebuild kit. I'm figuring that this probably won't fix my spot killer issue, after reading some threads, but it should be great preventative maintenance. So I guess I'll have to eventually send the board out for repair or get a working one... which will hopefully solve the problem. I've already replaced 3 caps on the board and cleaned and reseated all the chips, but none of that worked.
So here are the pictures. I'm excited, my first vector!
