HUO Tron... for the last 20 years
. It spent 9 years on location. I have to thank Mongo (Pat) for scoping this for me and passing it on. I answered a Craigslist ad for a $250 Tron with no pictures, then when I replied to the ad they jacked their price to $1250 and told me they were taking offers, then re-posted the Craigslist ad for $2000. Mongo brought them back out of the clouds, and although I didn't get it for $250, I still am happy with the price I paid. BTW, some anonymous tipster told the sellers to tell the next person to reply to their ad to ask $1250, and I was THAT next guy. So if it was someone on KLOV, thanks for that. I also want to thank local guys welove80s (Keith) and kjeffery (Ken) for owning Tron's and making me want to join the Tron club. Welove80s didn't make it any easier by giving me 2 Tron posters, when I didn't own a Tron... yet. Thanks again for those BTW.
So I bought this from a really old man, whose 2 twenty something grandaughters were there. They all told me the game has sat in the corner of their non-windowed basement for the last 20 years. Basically, when it came into the basement, it went into a finished corner and never moved from that spot. So that is why it is HUO for 20 years.
When it was on location, the stick was replaced with a black one and there are a few very minor scrapes in the side art. When it was sold to the old guy, the seller put in a freeplay button. They had long lost the keys and the sound was soft and scratchy. After I got the doors open, tweaking the sound pot clear up the sound right away. I replaced the stick with a repro and replaced the black lights. The inner sticker art being in that basement with no sunlight for that long glows really nicely under the blacklight. I will still replace the CPO and spinner sticker with a repro and get new T-molding to round this game off. So... on to the pictures.
