New access to warehouse!!! Waiting outside as I type

Hey guys,
Well, I rented a trailer from Uhaul for 25 bones and showed up at the warehouse. Picked up the Taito Colony 7, Sega Afterburner, Sega Mach III, Sega Choplifter. Guy was super awesome, only thing he asked for was for me to return a couple of the security locks off of a couple of them, if I could get them off without destroying them.
On a whim, I stopped at another place on my way home, same place I acquired a FREE Cruisn USA a few months back. It ended up being a fuse!!! I had been asking them about thie other Cruisn USA they had, but it had a broken monitor chassis. Make a long story a little shorter, I walked out of there with the Cruisn, with no monitor board. That guy said he sent it off to get fixed with some other boards, and he will call me when it comes in!!!!!!
So I brought the full load home, and unloaded.
1. Fired up the Colony 7, screen all white, but no game. Found a loose connection at the transformer, which when wiggled, causes the led lights on the board to come on. Basically screen works, but no signal from board, think it's just this diddly connection.
2. Fired up Afterburner, no picture. Added a quarter, nothing, but it sounded like it registered the quarter. Added another quarter, and BAM, game plays, albeit blind. Throttle shakes, lock on lights work, start button light worked, all good but screen. Drilled out the back lock, and removed all rear paneling. no neck glow on monitor. Traced wires to a fuse block, and, you guesses it, blown fuse to monitor. Replaced monitor, and game works 100 percent, with a perfect picture, I mean perfect!!!! This will be an easy cosmetic resto!!!!!!! Played about 20 games at least.
3. Now that my confidence was in the clouds, I plugged in, and fired up Choplifter, after drilling locks off back door. Game on, initially the screen was a scrambled mess, but it went through some sort of test then was great!!!!!! added credits, but 1 player or 2 player start buttons did nothing. This had a security lock on, so I undid the control panel from through the back, all leaf switches were falling apart. I cleaned and realigned all the switches. Game now works 100 percent!!!!!! can I be stopped?? Starting to feel invincible!!!
4. Knowing the Cruisn had no monitor board, I fired it up anyway. Game worked great, but blind. Just needs cosmetics, and two view button light bulbs!!!!! some strategically applied black laquer paint, and it should look awesome. side graphics are really great, just a few scratches on one side, which is the side I put up against the wall anyway!! I just sold my Cruisn USA last Wednesday, when given an offer I couldnt refuse. It was also the only one of the three I sold that wife and daughter really missed and wish I didn't sell. didn't take too long to get another!!, Hope he calls me when he gets thie monitor board, and that's all the monitor needs, but knowing my recent luck, I'm not too worried!!!!
5. Sega Mach III, looks not good, controls are all missing, but control panel is there. The cockpit decals around the monitor are exactly the same as Choplifter, and the cabinet is identical. Thinking they are the same, other then the boards???? Plugged it in, and , wait for it, nothing. nothing at all, which I actually take to be good. It has multiple fuses, so I just gotta trace the power. no time now.

Pictures to come tomorrow, can't upload from this IPad, and wifeys net book is over it's megabit allowance until tomorrow!

I tried to actually buy a TMNT, Offroad, Galaga, and a Ms. PAC. Owner didn't seem too interested in selling them, so I didn't push the issue at all. He did say he will call me soon with some more to buy or have. I'm gonna take the security locks back to him when I work on Wednesday as a show of gratitude, and to prove my word. I'm feelin a long term relationship, with more treasures to come.

too much wrote for now, pics tmw

Game warehouse in cleveland

I used to work for Cleveland coin about 10 years ago and they had a warehouse that I worked at refurbishing games on E. 222nd st in Euclid Ohio. I remember walking around and they had so many classic games it was unreal. They were all shrink wrapped in the back of the warehouse. I don't remember all the games that were there, but I specifically remember a perfect star wars and also a computer space that were neatly shrink wrapped by the bathrooms of the place. I wish I still knew the people that worked there so I could get a game from them. This is a great story.. thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I'm gonna post the pics tmw. The KLOV database only has a small black and white picture of the Colony 7. You will be impressed I think, I can easily tell it is in great shape under the dust. A little swelling around the bottom, but from what I see, everything else, control panel, bezel area, front are about an 8-9. The sides are about 7-8, with minor scratches. It's peach colored and blue. Ive got all day tmw, planning to clean them all up real well, and begging cosmetic restoration on the Afterburner I think. Only thing I need to get for it is black paint, new bezel decals, and new side art. Looks to need some security bolts here and there, locks, all metalwork polished, and the inside cleaned up. I actually found a couple hall passes from a school for some kid named Keith, dated 1987. cool huh? Next up will be the Colony 7, which looks to just need cleaned extensively, and a fix on the connection on the transformer board. Assuming the connection is the only problem with the Colony 7, and it's apparent rarity, does it have any value? Just wondering, I usually sell games for what I got in them. I just like to fix them. Still don't know about this MACH 3, got put the meter to the fuses and figure what's not working, it's doing nothing.

BTW, any Klovers in Chas?

Hey brother, very happy to here about your score! I'm looking forward to the pics! Interested to see the Choplifter. :) Congrats!

Researching the online game database, appears that the M.A.C.H.3 cabinet is all original, but the Choplifter is not, it's in an identical cab to the M.A.C.H.3. Went down and inspected and confirmed, the Choplifter apparently used to be a M.A.C.H.3.
Oh well, thanks guys for all the interest. I'll get the pics up in the morning.

The Mach 3 is a Gottlieb/Mylstar cab, and the Choplifter in dedicated form, was in a Sega cab. Most choplifters I've seen were also conversions....

MACH 3 is dedicated, but i dont think the laserdisc player is in it, need to look closer. yesterday was a little overwhelming. Here are the pics, Initial cleaning of the Colony 7, and it looks really good. Probably gonna work on cleaning them all up and assembling, arranging, then figure out which one to start on.

Enjoy the pics

Anybody interested in any of these, let me know
Thanks Jeremy

Wow ... that Colony 7 would look great next to my Crazy Climber. I love the way those first generation Taito cabinets look. And they seemingly held up extremely well ...

I had a choplifter in a MACH 3 cabinet as well ... funny, I guess that was just a "natural" conversion because of the flight stick controls.
