We have 48 brand new 19" CRT monitors for sale. They are CGA resolution. These are not remanufactured or used, they are brand new. Call 302-628-0298 or 302-344-2984 or email erika4898 @ yahoo .com for quote and shipping info. We are E&J Games.

1) Don't know why we need to call or email for a quote. I'm sure you have a set price + shipping.

2) What brand are these monitors?

$350 each. No name, built in 2010.
Affiliated with the CA company that was selling them on EBay.

Good grief. I still say this is the best method:

  1. Get rebuilt G07 chassis and yoke: $75-125
  2. Get free TV tube
  3. Get mounting frame: ??$

Voila, burn-free bulletproof monitor. For a helluva lot less.

Agreed, BUT some folks dont have the time/skills to put them together and get the convergence correctly.. BTW, Id recommend 4900s or K7000s over G07s for tube transplants.. G07s never seem to converge quite right for me, and the small neck tubes are a bit easier to get then the big neck tubes.

I find just the opposite. Of the 2 dozen 19" TV's I've cracked open, only about 6 of them were the 22.5mm necks. The rest were the 29mm necks.

Plus, the G07 has occurred to me as a pretty common monitor among the cabs that have come and gone in my possession, so I just rebuild them, swap tubes, and we're good to go.

I've tube swapped a dozen G07's at this point, and only one required re-convergence, but that's because it had a ton of crt alignment strips on the TV, and I needed to reproduce the same thing on the G07 yoke/TV tube pairing. It came out fine.

wish you were closer

I wish there was someone in the so cal area to teach me convergence I suck at it. I have done a few g07 tube swaps and none have correct convergence, a shame two I have a couple dozen g07 chassie's.

Interestingly, every one I was getting forever was a small neck..It took me a trip to an estate sale warehouse to find a bunch of 80s tvs to find a big neck.. Now I need another small neck, and have gotten 3 big necks in a row, in late model tvs. Also 2 of the last 5 Ive gotten had the mounting tabs on the front side of the metal band that runs around the tube instead of the back. Unfortunately they cant be mounted correctly..

Maybe Im G07 challenged.. I tried 3 different tubes with my last one, and could get either the upper or lower half converged. I put a tube off an old 4600, and she lined up great.

So a 4900 isn't to hard to swap? Ive done loads of k7000 but have a few 4900s on deck..

Hi;
I have to find the original post that I had submitted but I got screwed by a CA outfit selling bulk on e-bay. I bought a pallet of CRTs' and some 25" monitors. Turns out the 25" monitors were not properly converged and he gave me the runaround for weeks then the window of opp. to file any claims evaporated...

Still have a 25" with colors all over the corners if anyone is interested...

Jeff

I would take a 4900 over a G07 any day. G07's are nice but the lack of adjustment is a nuisance. Tube swaps are cake on any model, and convergence should take 5-10 minutes once you've done it once or twice.

Just double checked. $359 +Shipping. So they'd be in the neighborhood of $400-$500. At that price, I'd rather buy a whole game and refurb the monitor. Even if I was a novice at repair or couldn't do it myself I bet someone on KLOV would gladly repair a chassis for less than $400.

He says they are "VDI" branded--though I can't find anything on them on the interwebernetthingo.

Yeah, that's a bit steep for a no name monitor from a questionable source..

Spend all that cash and find out its not converged or doesn't work.. Eh, pass

I sell rebuilt k7000s with burn free donor tubes and nos remotes for $275ish..
At least you know what your getting at that price!

Yes I get the concept but I learn much better hands on with an instructor. I think I will get it someday meanwhile I keep collecting tubes.

For me, I just threw myself into the fire and forced myself to learn it when the opportunity arose. That's usually how it goes on most things for me (ie: cap kits, tube rejuv, etc). I usually get impatient and just force myself to learn it. What's the worst that could happen? With convergence, at least you can always get back to where you started, so what've you got to lose?
