Never Surrender.........Billy Mitchell

For some reason that thumbs up thing irks me.

Anyways, he seems to be fairly tall - WB how tall are you?

- Mike

thanks Mike it was cool to meet you guys also

He looks huge.

Hes one huge bitch!!

Steve seemed like such nice guy, I give billy my respect due to his scores.
I just can't get over the hatred I have towards him.....

what if someone broke his thumb would we have a chance to beat him?
:D

Why do you hate him...dont belive everything you see..he played the villian role in the movie..not in real life..he seems in the short time i met him like a genuinely nice family oriented guy.

I think in King of Kong he mentioned he has the words "Never Surrender" on the home screen of his cell phone...

haha yea we asked to se his phone...he couldnt remember if he still had it on there...it wasnt hes gotten a new phone since the movie

I finally saw the movie, and after reading what he did in 2007 to reclaim his title, I gotta say all the hate thrown this guy's way is completely off mark. If you haven't read the stuff at Twin Galaxies on their forum by Walter Day, you should... it explains how the movie was edited to make him look more like a jerk.

He's got the Muhammad Ali thing going. He talks trash, but backs it up.

That good, huh?

:p

I just watched King of Kong last week... so, where do things stand with that now, anyway? Does Wiebe still hold the top slot or no?

Since nobody really answered what happened, Wiebe was already the champion through most of the time frame portrayed in the movie. All the stuff about how Mitchell doesn't play in public, faked the tape, blah blah blah was obliterated when in 2007, at a convention in front of god and everybody he completely owned Donkey Kong on camera. He beat Weibe's taped score by about 1000 points, then let his man die, as well as the extra one that he still had saying he wanted to keep things close. He had 5 levels left before the kill screen and probably would have made a much, much higher score if he would have kept going.

What the movie doesn't accurately get across is just how incredibly good this guy is. Weibe is great, Mitchell is legendary.
