Netbook-based mini-cocktail

Ooh, those are awesome! It doesn't look like you would have enough room on the control panel for your hands to fit confortably, though. Still, I would love one of those myself!

Yeah, my netbook is one Asus model up (10.1" screen) from that one. I use it for my MAME setup as well. I use the video out to my TV and USB joysticks. Works like a charm. The only downside is that because it's a netbook, it won't run your heavy games (CPS2, CPS3, etc.) as well. There's a little lag, but still playable. I'm actually thinking of building a countertop MAME cab that can house it eventually. It would just be plug in and play.

these guys were selling mini pac and mini mortal kombat cabs on ebay not too long ago and they went up to like $500+ which I thought was totally insane. For the Pac one he basically mounted a little LCD screen and used the $25 Pac man thing that plugs into a TV. Pretty cool concept, but I could not believe how much people were paying for it. At that rate, these things would be like a grand.

How did he get the 2 player split screen mode?

MAME. You can set up a layout that does different things like multiple screens. By using a layout, it doesn't take up any more of the CPU resources and is offloaded to the GPU.

Ebay Auction

Hey guys! Thanks for talking about my tiny cocktail cabinets! Unfortunately at the end of the auction I had mentioned that I don't mind working on commission if people wanted other arcade items built and I guess ebay took offense to that. You can't use ebay auctions as advertisements for outside businesses (a rule I had no knowledge of) so they just cancelled my auction without letting me just remove those two sentences from the description. I had to relist it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150451132952&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

so this is the correct link if anyone else wants to see it in action. Thanks!

Great job and congrats for selling it for over a grand, but when I see that final price I wonder how many full size games I could have bought for that same price.
