A friend and colleague has been nursing his old NES along for years now, and it finally gave out to the point where he can't fix it (and he's pretty good). He's asked me for a recommendation on a simple set-top box (not a Pi or other solution that he'd need to put time in to set up, he's certainly capable of handling it technically but doesn't have the time) that he can play NES, SNES and optionally N64 or higher games with his daughter on their HDTV. He'd prefer something that can be loaded up with an SD or other media and doesn't require cartridge swaps. From my quick perusal, there are a staggering number of options, so I wanted to check here and see what folks who take this kind of thing seriously really like.
So, Nintendo fanatics, what do you like out there?
