Came across this just now, great way to put to use truely broken or extra NES Consoles. I love my NES and would never do that, i'll just replace the connector untill they can't be sourced. great idea tho, wonder how much fabrication is needed for the front usb ports and for the motherboard tray.

Looks like he just shaped a piece of plexi for the tray. You could do that job with a dremel, very easily.

I'd like to see the finished product all the way around. Did he cut a hole in the top for that fan?

looks like he just bolted it to the existing venting.

i also would like to see a finished product, and what "wiring" he bought from amazon.

Very cool, but by no means uncommon. I would probably do something like that one day if I weren't so lazy :p

I remember seeing them when the ITX was introduced. The Via Epia... they had a 1GHz integrated processor.

I've always wanted to do something similar. I actually have a shell of an NES that I could use.

I would probably try to rig the optical drive to open when you press a button on the front, and the door would open and close with the drive. I've never liked having to open a door to access your optical drive.

Eh,this seems like too much work for me.I think I'd just either go buy a nes and some of my favorite games for next to nothing or simply download... a nes emulator and some roms.
