NES Classic

If it wasn't just the equivalent of a 60-in-1 i would consider it, but since it's just the same thing I can run on my computer...nope

I may however grab a couple of the controllers.

What good are the controllers going to do without the system? They use the wii style connector, so can't hook to computer or original NES, just wii virtual console.

Good luck finding a system today. Most stores had less than 10 of them to sell. I believe Amazon is selling them at 1 PM Eastern today, but who knows how many they have.

People just bought them to sell on ebay. They are selling for $200, $300 + on there.
Poor saps.

I have my original console. Plus modded Wii, and PC emulator.
I think I'm good.

I definitely appreciate the nostalgia of it, but a Raspberry Pi Canakit, 32GB card and NES USB controler can be had for about the same price and do much much more.

Alright, for those that got one, crack it open, let's see what it's running :)

I'm still so so about it, I didn't race out to get one, but did stop at one place just in case. Heard the stories of people rushing to get it, bad mouthing each other, throwing tantrums, ect.... No worry to me, as I own all but 4 games from that list, being games I wouldn't want anyway.

That aside, I am curious to know how it looks running HDMI to a flat screen. Other than that, I'm not a fan of the 5ft cords myself, but that's basing it off how I would have it setup here.

Would love to hear the pros/cons from those who picked one up.

Haha, I just looked, preorders are being sold off, hitting the $400 range. That's just insane people......congrats to those who got one for retail price.

Must be a different time. Amazon didn't come active

I went this route. The NES usb controller is only $5 shipped online, too.
Have a $5 pi-zero hooked up to a $30 mini projector for playing some good old NES, Atari 2600 and 7800. Great fun!

This looks like a nicely done little project for the public, though.

I pre-ordered mine and should be here today. I made the mistake of not ordering the extra controller. They are nowhere to be found. Now do I decide to ebay it? haha
