I have updated and revised my PlayChoice-10 Price Guide for the last time for this volume. I will begin a new data sheet to collect information. The next Volume of guides will not be released until I have compiled new data for all 51 of the "attainable" games. This latest guide has a new section showing the increase in prices for certain titles as well as an expanded conclusion that outlines some observations I have made. This last guide is $2 gifted PayPal. You can send payments to [email protected] and I will send the guides to the email your payment came from. If you would like the guides sent to a different email, let me know. You can get all three of the previous guides for an extra $1 if you wish.

The only thing that I have not mentioned in this guide is 2600's PlayChoice to NES adapter. This is because recently one of these was sold on eBay and will be included in the next Volume. Supprisingly, the one that was sold on eBay was not working (due to some problematic solder points) yet the ending bid was far above the original sale price. 2600 offered some of these adapters here for $85 shipped and this one sold for $117.50 shipped.

I was unable to get one of these adapters at the time they were offered (I don't know if they are still available either). They looked amazing, but I didn't have the funds. Apperently there is more demand than you thought 2600. You should consider another run (if you haven't already). You could definitely count me in this time.

Just to clarify, the adapter sold on ebay was originally sold as a DIY kit. I sold the DIY kits for $60-65 and the user assembled them. The problem with that adapter is likely due to ripped traces as the user hastily soldered the kit, then desoldered some parts, and then resoldered some parts. It was not assembled by me.

My bad. I didn't mean to make it sound like it was your fault. In the auction the seller makes clear that he had made the soldering mistake.

This is interesting...

For some reason, a hacked PlayChoice-10 game sold for a lot of money compared to someone doing this on their own.

Someone listed a Track & Field game PCB with Q*Bert chips loaded on it and it sold for $112.50 shipped.

The most I have seen a Track & Field game PCB sell for so far has been $68.07 shipped. You can get the hacked chips for less than $20 shipped.

I thought I would share this because I am a NERD and I thought this was interesting.

How is this guide different from the last one? I bought the last one but didn't know if this is different enough to warrant a second purchase.

Thanks.

It's just updated. I usually update the guide every 6 months, but this will be the last guide until I gather all new prices for all the games again. I like to keep the guide current.

I have a jaws I made out of track and field and I had to but the chips the board that's 90 paid 77 shipped on eBay plus I get the name I'd chip when I buy chip sets then I had to remove solder and then solder the vert or the hor ! It was a pain in the butt I wouldn't sell that jaws for 150 to much hassle

Hey to add to your list I just paid 400.00 for rockin kats I saw another listed for 250.00 and it sold in less than 1 minute so 250.00 is undervalued , I also sold a solar jetman for 250.00 that was 75.00 less than I paid but I couldn't get anyone to sell me a rockin kats for less than 400.00 shipped so I sold my jetman and a tecmo super bowl 2003 collage edition that I made out of a Mario 3 for the playchoice it sold for 110.00 plus 9.00 shipping !!

Can someone explain the hor/vertical issue with the track and field cart? What is the difference with the look of the cart and the game play?

I'ts not a visual change in the game. The mapper on the board has settings for vertical or horizontal mirroring for GFX bankswitching. If it is set wrong, the graphics will display all eff'ed up.

If Nintendo made the T&F both ways, is there a way to tell which cart is which visually?
