Ok so here's the story so far...
I capped my chassis on my 27e so I started a tube swap, due to bad blue gun.
I found a donor and hooked it up using the the TVs bonded yoke, image was good, however reversed, upside down and too narrow(not filling the full width of screen).
I replaced the bonded yoke with original and hooked the monitor back up powered on the game.
Neck glowed like a light bulb and resistor R431 started sparking so I killed the power. Then I noticed that i forgot to plug in the yoke wires, plugged them back in and no change.
I'm in the process of going back over everything to see if I shorted a wire or something but if anyone has other ideas what could have happened please help.

Thanks, Jason

1k vs 10k

So according to schematics R431 is either a 1k or 10k 1/4w. The original is so burned I can't read the value.

Should I start with a 10k and see if it works, then if not up it to a 1k?

So I replaced the R431 with a 10k 1/4W and hooked up the original tube, no sparks and had picture. So I must have damaged the new tube when I removed the bonded yoke. So the hunt continues for a replacement tube...
