Guys, I have a working Neotec NT-2702S... Anyone know what it would be good for? I cant seem to find much info on it.

Thanks,

27 inch monitors were used on a few newer machines like the Golden Tee series. Is this standard or medium res?

I got the NT-2702S off of the neck board. It has a SVGA type computer monitor connector for the input. I have it on the bench and its connected to a PC and working in 640 x 480 (256 color) mode.

That is about all I know about it so far.

Any more info would be great.

Thanks,

If I can make it work for a mame porject that would be great. I have a gutted 4 player TMNT cab I was thinking of making into a MAME cab anyway.

I do not know that much about the latest MAME setups. I did mess with it years ago. So my first question would be is the 640 x 480 (256) all that is needed for most games or is there other higher rez. settings this monitor should work on?

Thanks again,

The 2702S is a VGA monitor. I think I too ahve seen them on Arctic Thunders. There is a 2702 and a 2702S. I vaguely remember Ken Layton talking about the difference between the two is that the 's' uses a Samsung tube only, or something like that.

I just worked on an Atari Road Burners.....it had a 27" VGA monitor in it.

Cool! Thanks for the info. I looked up Atari Road Burners and found some info about VGA monitors.

It looks like I need to try out "AdvanceMAME" and set it up for:

VGA20 RESOLUTION

HORIZONTAL VERTICAL
Scan Frequency: 31.55 KHz Scan Frequency: 70.0 Hz
Scan Period: 31.7 µSec Scan Period: 14.3 mSec
Active Video: 25.6 µSec Active Video: 12.2 mSec
Video Delay: 5.7 µSec Video Delay: 1.1 mSec
Sync Pulse: 4.0 µSec Sync Pulse: 0.2 mSec
Scan Line: 634 Pixels Screen: 450 Lines
Resolution: 512 Pixels Resolution: 384 Lines
Clock Freq: 20.00 MHz

And see how it goes.

Thanks guys,
